Based on my experience, I would say this tricky update, which adds horizontal scanlines when the filter is turned on, is worth the effort. (The SNES Classic only ships with a few of these, and some new ones made by the community, including two collections shared at NeoGAF, already look better than Nintendo's offerings.) Even better, the SNES Classic had a tweaked 'scanline' filter hidden inside of it, which can now be enabled with some command-line editing. First, users can now add custom 'background' images, which fill out the rest of the 16:9 screen not filled up by the original games' much smaller resolutions. (ClusterM provides a pretty easy way to load RetroArch on the SNES Classic, as well.)More enterprising hakchi2 users can also add two interesting new tweaks to the SNES Classic, though these require some telnet operations. Basically, if an emulation scheme worked on the NES Classic, it will also work on this one. Fans have already confirmed that these support more SNES games, along with a variety of other classic consoles. "When using VirtualBox after the custom kernel is loaded on delete the USB from the USB list on virtual box in the bottom right of the screen around your windows box and add it again when it says NES and not tablet in flashing mode"Īny advice? Would love to get this amazing program working. But even the NES Classic didn't have a 100-percent success rate with added, unofficial ROMs, and, in very good news, the SNES Classic supports that system's same backup path: installed RetroArch emulation cores. They also recommended new cord and I tried FlywithSean's advice without any luck either It's also important to note that I believe I am correctly flashing the kernel b/c the "Select Down" shortcut is now working on my SNES Classic, meaning I do not think the cable is the issue. I've tried this (used my Kindle data cable) to no avail. I found two similar previous issues: A recent post from cluster recommended trying a different USB cable and/or port.
HAKCHI2 MAC SNES CLASSIC DRIVER
I have reboot my Mac and the Virtual instance, installed the USB driver several times, and tried different USB cords without any success. Firewall may interfere in the connection. In order to access the SNES Classci through FTP, the SNES Classic needs to be connected to Hakchi2 CE (the dot at the bottom left must be green). I've also received another error that said something like unable to load device or something to that effect. Hakchi2 CE allows connection through FTP, so the user can see the files inside their SNES Classic unit. When I try to sync the games it will hang at "Waiting for device" then give me a plain "Device Error" message. Note, I believe it works b/c I can now exit to the main SNES menu with "Select Down"
HAKCHI2 MAC SNES CLASSIC WINDOWS 10
When I place the device in flashing mode my instance of Windows 10 recognizes it, dumps the kernel and initiates and reports successful completion of the flash process. Step 3: Run hakchi.exe inside the hakchi2 folder and select SNES Classic Mini. Step 2: While holding the reset switch up, turn the SNES Classic Edition on.

After my jobs tech support refused to let me install the SNES driver on my work laptop and decided to install VirtualBox on my personal Mac. So I've been on a mission to get Hakchi2 working on my SNES classic.
